A scarce BWM, Victory, SWB & cap badge to 818 Private F R Evans Denbighshire (Hussars) Yeomanry. Pte Evans enlisted on 12th September 1914 into the Denbighshire Yeomanry & was discharged 18th September 1916 being no longer fit for service. He served for a total of 2 years & 7 days including 180 days in the Mediterranean. Pte Evans Died 18th September 1918. The group comes with original discharge certificate, photo of Pte Evans in uniform, a memorial of his funeral, a copy of the 1901 census, a photo of his grave & also the memorial of his old School with his name on it. Pte Evans is listed on neither the GWGC or Soldiers Died however this is being looked into as this has happenend many times. The Denbighshire Yeomanry lost only 15 men including Pte Evans in WW1 and all died at home. £600.
