The Knight Batchelor's Badge, Unnamed as awarded Reverse hallmark for London 1963, Complete with pin & catch reverse in fitted presentation case. The title Knight Batchelor (KB) was introduced by King Henry III to signify a battelier (one who fought in battle). The Badge was authorised by King George V 21 April 1926, in response to a request from the Imperial Society of Knight Batchelors who wished to have a distinctive badge denoting their rank. SCARCE ORIGINAL BRITISH KB KNIGHT BACHELOR'S BREAST BADGE ORDER MEDAL IN CASE, ONE OF THE HIGHEST BRITISH ROYAL ORDER OF CHIVALRY, This extremely scarce original British Order Of Chivalry is in a fantastic condition, no enamel damage. Made by the old British craftsmen of the day by hand in fine silver then richly Gold plated, the Pin on the reverse is hallmarked under the pin, as it the edge on the bottom of badge .This Order has stunning exquisite beautiful enamel work. Excellent (EF) Condition Hallmarked (makers marked) on the reverse. £450.

CBE (Commander of the British Empire) Military, 2nd Type King & Queen Shoulder Badge. Ladies Bow but in Gents box of issue. Very small enamel damage to centre. £400.

 

MBE/BWM/ cap badge for Officer of Trinity House to Arthur C. Reynolds Officer of Trinity House.Near Mint, hallmarked 1919, silver MBE (Civil) in original Garrard & Co case of issue. British War Medal, correctly impressed to Arthur C. Reynolds. Also and original and scarce, Edwardian guilded base metal cap badge for Officers of Trinity House. This badge has full gilt and retails all lugs to reverse. Correct oversplash. Extremely fine and very scarce. Arthur Charles Reynolds was a Pilot Boat Captain, later Superintendent with the Trinity House Corporation. There is some research of his career with photographs and references contained in Linny's collection of photographs that are held by the Museum of London. Awarded the MBE in London Gazette for his services to Trinity House. Gazetted end of December 1918 with investiture in 1919. Superintendent of the Trinity Buoy Wharf in 1927. NEF condition. A rare grouping to a senior Officer with a lifetime of service with Trinity House Corporation. £300.

MC LG 09/01/1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty as transport officer when in charge of pack animals carrying machine guns and ammunition forward during an attack. He showed the greatest pluck and coolness in guiding the animals across enemy trenches and through hostile barrage, although his charger was twice wounded and he was twice thrown heavily owing to barbed wire. His men said it was impossible for any officer to set them a finer example. He was severely wounded. MIC and copy LG. Medals court mounted as worn. £1750.

Four Victoria Crosses Awarded for the Battle of Sanna’s Post 25 May 1901. There was a ballot for the 4 VC's for the action at Sanna’s Post when the Officers & NCOs selected one each & the other ranks (gunners/drivers) selected two to be awarded the Victoria Cross, DCM LG 27/09/1901, MC LG 03/06/1916.
